"With out pain there is no gain."  a famous quote

What does this mean?    First we must understand gain.  To gain is to increase or improve in some way.  The idea is to have more or a better result from previous existence or place.   So it is a moving forward!

The idea of pain is that we must come to realize the full range of events or elements for any given situation!

i.e. To know happy there must be a sad occasion, to taste sweet you must have had bitter, to find peace you must have sampled termoil or war.  ETC!    This is an example of the range of events or happenings which would be necessary to understand the experience or occasion fully!

We say this to show that people must learn the boundaries or range or scope of each event or happening in their life to find or make any progress or way toward their goal.  The exact goal or result will be based upon the effort put forth and the range of experience available to each person.

So we see that effort which requires energy, which leads to fatigue if pressed too much, will come to produce some form of displeasure which will be a form of pain. While the result of the pursuit of the gain may well lead to pain the obtaining of the desired goal will in most instances become some form of pleasure or satisfaction.

This is the result of the effort to obtain a goal through a period of pain!
