What the Prof said!
I just love it when someone who actually thinks out side the box, gets others to see the reality of the Truth!

" We all go through life with certain ideas and concepts which may or may not be completely correct! "
a True-ism
It take talent, knowledge and effort to find the truth; but you do have to seek it! It does not always just appear in the local news story...
BTW: the News Anchor person is just a pretty face reading what the Mass Media wants put out for what ever reason... They do not control or know any more than they present to you...
So get over believing it all is true, because there is always some truth in every false story! This does not mean that all news stories are false but you must admit if you take notice; that they lean toward the "Bad News" type and down play any reference toward God or goodness... There is more Fluff than real facts!
*** Here is an actual occurrence where some students were shown the real truth about some current popular beliefs:
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. How did this happen?
That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that it provided that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, it would be a great equalizer. Well maybe let's look...
The professor then said, "OK,we will have an experiment in this class based on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. What ever the group gets everyone gets, fair enough!
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little less. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the class did not bother to study so the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. It was the "why should I help you!" syndrome...
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that, only a fool would believe that they can get something from nothing!
Just maybe you will want to rethink your views on many of the news items put out today by the Mass Media and many of the politicians.... HUH!
