  A Human being is based upon nepes  (Hebrew) Connoting a person with both inseparable components of flesh and soul...  The soul is the life force of all animals including humans...   But the human also has a spirit  which allows appetites such as love, joy, sorrow, desire plus the thought activity....

 Flesh ends upon death; which is the end of all sentient life force...   Therefore resurrection of the dead reunites the body with the soul...  The soul contains the true essence of a person... The soul is the center of your inter life...  While the spirit is the seat of your insight, such as grief, love,it has divine attributes which can unite with God!
