What is all this Christmas stuff anyway?

 The end of December is a time for Christmas in many parts of the world...
 
  What does all of this have to do with anyway?

  Well there is actually three (3) different tacks to this celebration in the world today!

  1) The first and perhaps least understood is the story of the birth of the Christ Child as recorded in the Holy Scriptures; mainly in the  Book of Luke!       

    "For unto us a child is born,  unto us a Child is given."     " His name shall be called Wonderful!"

   This actually is the whole reason that Christmas was even celebrated in the first place...  a True-ism
 
   To commemorate the Birthday of the Christ  Child,  Even thought the exact date is not known probably in the spring of the year...   The 25th of December was set up by the Latin Church as part of a winter solace, and has been incorporated in the western calender ever since...   While the exact date is not as important as the observance of the Blessed Holy event!

  2) The second which is observed by most of the world today is the idea of a Santa Clause figure, who goes around giving (supposedly) free toys and things to mainly children this time of the year...  It has become very popular with merchants, stores, and much of the entertainment industry; as a great way to make money!  This is more of a selfish {me} way of observing this holiday...

 In other words what am I going to get?  It rather give the idea of something for nothing, just say you want it...  It actually gives children a false sense of the whole reason for gift giving...  Of course the commercial climate live it as this is a golden ticket to riches and profit...  You do not really blame them, it is the goose that layed the Golden Egg!

  3) The rest of the Christmas Story is it is a time when some people will actually give a gift just because they want to...  So at this time of the year many good and wonderful things are done in the name of Christmas..  This is a very good thing!  Really this is the true spirit of Christmas, where you remember and give just because you can...

 Take time to analyze your purpose and method of giving this Christmas time!!!
